How does it all work?

• Swapping is open from 12pm – 4pm. Last admission at 3.30pm to allow our volunteers time to process your items and give you time to browse.
• Entry is £4.50 per person. Accomapnying children (U16) are free.
• You can pay by contactless card (please do this if you can!) or cash on the door.
• You will be able to bring a MAXIMUM of 20 items to swap. If you have credits on the system from previous swaps, you will be able to take away as many items as you like.
• We do not accept items for recycling. Any rejected items will need to be taken away by the swapper (or taken to the clothing recycling banks opposite the venue)
• There is a communal ladies changing room available, and mirrors in the main space. Unfortunately we don’t have a dedicated men’s changing room due to a lack of available spaces. We recommend trying on items at home and bringing anything that isn’t suitable to the next swap!
• While LCCE is not an event for children, kids are welcome at our events. Please make sure any accompanying children are supervised at all times.
• Dogs are also welcome, but the same rules apply.

To help us process your items quickly and to make sure your items are accepted please make sure that all items are:

• Clean – if possible please wash your items before bringing them to swap (make sure they are fully dry before bringing them to swap)
• No damaged items – check for holes, wear & tear, missing buttons, stains etc.
• No underwear/swimwear/sleepwear/bodysuits (unless brand new with tags attached)
• No worn out items eg. greying whites or bobbly knitwear
• No specific branded clothes – eg tops that say “Leeds Marathon 2015”
• No children’s or teen clothing
